2-(2-Aminoethoxy) Ethanol, also commonly referred to as ADEG, is a colorless liquid with an amine-like odor. It is a versatile amine that is used in gas treating as an amine solvent for the bulk removal of hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and carbonyl sulfide. ADEG is also used in electronics, metalworking, agrochemicals and polyurethane foam insulation.
