NOCHEK® 4709A Wax Pellets is a wax antiozonant manufactured by The International Group, Inc. (IGI), composed of a microcrystalline/paraffin wax blend. It is a blend of hydrocarbon waxes designed to give an invisible, tough, dry film that protects rubber articles against atmospheric ozone attack. The wax has a wide molecular weight distribution with a high average molecular weight, giving a medium rate of bloom; protection develops after curing and lasts for a long period of time. It is specifically formulated for natural and synthetic rubbers — including styrene butadiene, chloroprene, and nitrile — and is supplied as white-to-amber pellets. It is non-staining and can be used in white compounds.
