CAB-O-SIL TS530, Technical Grade, Powder, Bag
CAB-O-SIL® TS-530 fumed silica has a surface that has been treated with hexamethyldisilazane (HMDZ). This treatment replaces hydroxyls on the surface of the silica, resulting in increased hydrophobicity and very different performance features than untreated silica. It can enable low viscosity build with good sag resistance and anti-settling of pigments and fillers, which makes it an excellent choice for use in highly filled systems such as corrosion resistant coatings. CAB-O-SIL® TS-530 can enable performance advantages that include dispersion improvement, sag resistance or high film build and rheology control. Key characteristics include high purity, aggregated structure, submicron particle size, low bulk density and hydrophobic surface chemistry.
