Waterborne Elastomeric Wall Coating

Wall coatings are meant to be durable and long-lasting, expected to withstand some of the toughest conditions the environment brings. When having to formulate to regulatory compliant restrictions it can be challenging to meet performance expectations. With our water-based wall coating products, you can meet low VOC, APEO-free and formaldehyde-free regulations, while maintaining performance-durability and savings. The UV resistant products help to reduce wall surface temperature, prolonging life and reducing energy costs.

Dow Coating Materials

  • RHOPLEX™ 78 Acrylic Emulsion: Higher solids, APEO-free binder for elastomeric wall coatings that delivers superior dirt pickup resistance in addition to excellent elasticity and durability. Dry film flexibility necessary to bridge small cracks in unstable substrates and resist film damage. Coatings based on this product are permeable to water vapor, which permits moisture in the masonry substrate to escape without causing blisters.
  • TAMOL™ 901 Dispersant: A low foam generator, excellent stability.

Solvay

  • Rhodoline® 622: Is effective over a wide pH range and is persistent when subjected to both high shear and high-temperature processing conditions for waterborne coatings production. It is not dispersible in water and should be used as received.

Ineos Pigments

  • RCL596: Opacity and UV durable whiteness. Superdurable product offering maximum chalk resistance, excellent gloss, and gloss retention balanced with high opacity and dispersibility. The high-performance titanium dioxide helps to reduce wall coating surface temperature, prolonging life and reducing energy costs.
