Isobutanol (Isobutyl Alcohol) is a medium boiling, slow evaporating, colorless liquid that is useful in organic synthesis, as a chemical intermediate and as a solvent in coating applications. It may be used as a supplement or replacement for N-Butyl Alcohol in many applications. Isobutanol is effective in reducing the viscosities of many formulations as well as promoting flow and leveling.
