Morpholine is a colorless, mobile, hygroscopic liquid with characteristic amine-like odor. It is a very versatile compound that is used in a wide variety of applications which include being used extensively as a corrosion inhibitor in steam boiler systems and as a chemical intermediate for textile lubricants, dyes and catalysts and in the manufacture of optical brighteners.
