Dimethyl Phthalate is a colorless oily liquid with slight aromatic odor. It is soluble in most organic solvents & slightly soluble in water. It is used to increase the tenacity of the polyester fibers, as a special ester that acts as a plasticizer for cellulose acetate and allow the production of plastic articles of high quality.
