Propylene Glycol USP
Propylene Glycol USP Grade is a high-purity grade of monopropylene glycol, tested for compliance with the current United States Pharmacopeia (USP). Used as a humectant in flavoring or seasoning concentrates, preservative and stabilizer in direct food applications such as baked or frozen goods, as a solvent in elixirs and pharmaceutical preparations containing water-soluble ingredients, and as a coupling agent in the formulation of sunscreen lotion, shampoos, shaving creams and other similar personal care products.

It may not meet the same purity standards as propylene glycol USP, and may contain impurities or contaminants. It is typically used in products without direct contact with skin or mucous membranes, such as unsaturated polyester resins, coolants, antifreeze, deicing fluids, hydraulic fluids, heat transfer fluids, paints, and coatings.
