PATcat 4202
PATcat 4202 is a cutting-edge, metal carboxylate-based catalyst specifically designed for polyurethane systems, offering a tin-free alternative for various applications. This product presents itself as a clear liquid with a yellow to brown coloration, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of polyurethane formulations. With a viscosity of less than 2500 cps at 25°C and a specific gravity of approximately 1.100 g/cm³ at the same temperature, PATcat 4202 is optimized for easy integration into manufacturing processes. It acts as a fast-acting gel catalyst in both one-component (1k) and two-component (2k) polyurethane systems, making it an ideal replacement for stannous octoate in soft PU foam and HR foam applications. Additionally, its excellent hydrolytic stability makes it suitable for use in rigid spray foam formulations, even in the presence of water and strong amines like PMDETA.
