Dipentene is bio-based solvent with a mild pine odor. It is produced by the processing of
Turpentine and contains Limonene and other para-Menthadienes. Dipentene is most often used as a fragrance additive and a substitute for citrus D-Limonene. It can also be used as a solvent for rosin, waxes, rubber; as a dispersing agent for oils, resins, paints, lacquers, varnishes, and in floor waxes and furniture polishes.
