Furfuryl Alcohol is a clear, colorless liquid that turns from yellow and brown to dark red upon exposure to light and air. It has a slightly pungent odor and is miscible with a variety of Solvents including Ethanol, Benzene, Ether and Chloroform. Furfuryl Alcohol is the highest volume derivative of furfural, which is produced from a variety of renewable feedstocks which include oats, rice, corn cobs, cotton seed hulls and sugarcane bagasse.
