Jarcol 85BJ, Technical Grade, 375 lb Drum
Jarcol 85 Bj Jarc from Jarchem Industries is an unsaturated oleyl alcohol produced by high-pressure reduction from either vegetable (B series) or tallow (A or AN series) unsaturated fats. They are primarily Oleyl Alcohol, which is straight chain, monohydric, monounsaturated primary alcohol. It has a lower melting point when compared with the saturated alcohol counterpart. The carbon-carbon double bonds allow greater reactivity. Their liquid consistency leads to multiple fields of applications. The additional double bond in the molecule contributes considerably to polarity and results in a higher affinity to metal surfaces, interfacial activity, spreadability, and solubility. Key applications include cosmetics/ pharmaceuticals, textiles, metal working and lubrication, and paints and inks. Jarcol 85 BJ is a natural or bio-based material.
