Perchloroethylene is a clear, colorless, nonflammable liquid solvent with a mild, sweet, odor. It is a chlorinated solvent that is widely used in degreasing and various other industrial applications. It is also used as a raw material in the production of fluorocarbons compounds and is one of the chlorinated solvents of choice by formulators due to its high stability, excellent solvency and non-flammability.
