Dow Isocyanates
Isocyanates are a class of highly reactive compounds that are widely used in the production of polyurethane foams, coatings, adhesives and sealants and numerous other products which demand durability and high performance.

Dow Polyurethanes is a major supplier of isocyanates and isocyanate-based products, but they offer many different grades to suit the needs of the end use as well as method of application.
Dow’s Isonate™ MDI line provides pure methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI), one of the most crucial isocyanates used for manufacturing rigid polyurethane foams. These foams find extensive use in construction, refrigeration, and other applications that require rigidity.
Complementing the pure MDI offerings, Dow's PAPI™ polymeric MDI products are blends of monomeric MDI and polymeric MDI molecules, offering enhanced flow properties compared to pure MDI. These polymeric MDI blends are particularly suited for rigid foam insulation in construction and cold chain applications.
In addition to the MDI-based offerings, Dow also provides the VORASTAR™ line of polyol-modified MDI prepolymers. These products are created by modifying MDI with polyols, resulting in enhanced properties such as improved low-temperature performance. The VORASTAR™ range finds applications in polymers, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers that require flexibility and specific performance characteristics.
