Dow Chemical Company is a prominent global supplier of polyols, which serve as crucial raw materials in the manufacture of polyurethanes. Their diverse portfolio encompasses a comprehensive range of polyol products meticulously engineered to cater to the intricate demands of various polyurethane applications.

At the forefront of Dow's offerings is the renowned VORANOL™ line, comprising polyether polyols synthesized through the reaction of epoxides, such as ethylene oxide or propylene oxide, with initiators like glycerine. These versatile polyols find extensive application in the production of flexible, semi-rigid, and rigid polyurethane foams, catering to industries as diverse as furniture, automotive, and insulation. Prominent examples within this line include VORANOL™ 490, VORANOL™ 800, and VORANOL™ 921, each tailored to meet specific performance criteria.

Complementing the VORANOL™ range, Dow's VORALUX™ high-performance polyether polyols are meticulously designed for coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers (CASE) applications. These advanced polyols boast low monol content and low unsaturation, enabling the formulation of superior products with enhanced properties.

Furthermore, Dow's portfolio encompasses VORANOL™/VORALUX™ polymer polyols, which contain finely dispersed polymer particles within a polyol continuous phase. This unique formulation renders them ideal for the manufacture of high-load bearing polyurethane foams and elastomers. The VORAPEL line, tailored for polyurethane elastomer applications, provides low monol content and low unsaturation, thereby enhancing elastomer performance.

Complementing these offerings, Dow also presents polyols derived from recycled and renewable raw materials, marketed under the RENUVA line, addressing the growing demand for sustainable solutions.
