Triethylene Glycol (TEG) is a colorless, viscous liquid with a slight sweet odor. It is similar in properties to diethylene glycol and is used where a high boiling point and low volatility are important. Triethylene Glycol is primarily used in the drying of natural gas due to its strong hygroscopic properties. It is also used as a chemical intermediate in the production of vinyl plasticizers, polyester resins, adhesives, and a variety of solvents and cleaners.
