TRITON™ DF-20 is a specialized nonionic surfactant designed for formulations requiring low solubility in water and high performance in alkaline solutions. This product is unique in that it is not water-soluble in its supplied form and requires a reaction with a strong base, such as sodium hydroxide (NaOH) or potassium hydroxide (KOH), to achieve solubility in alkaline environments. The solubilization process of DF-20 is finely tuned, depending on the concentration of alkaline builders present, the solution's temperature, and the DF-20 concentration itself.
TRITON™ DF-20 is ideal for developers and formulators looking for a surfactant that offers flexibility in alkaline solution preparation and is effective in a variety of industrial applications where specific solubility and reactivity conditions are required.
