Architectural Broadwall Interior and Exterior Coatings

DOW RHOPLEX™ and EVOQUE™ technologies are available to meet the standard, quality, and premium performance needs of the architectural coatings market. Solutions include high hiding, ultra-low VOC, efflorescence resistant, block resistant, and tint and gloss retention waterborne acrylic emulsions.

• RHOPLEX™ 732C Binder
  An aqueous acrylic emulsion that utilizes unique polymer architecture and ambient crosslinking that allows for superior exterior durability and water resistance properties. It has a low coalescent demand to help formulators meet low VOC targets of < 50 g/L. RHOPLEX™ 732C Binder has formulating versatility to be used as a primer, basement water proofer, or topcoat over a variety of substrates from flat to semi-high gloss. RHOPLEX™ 732C is made without APEO-containing surfactants and does not contain any intentionally added PFAS. 
• RHOPLEX™ 101C Acrylic Emulsion
  A 100% acrylic binder designed for use in high quality interior and exterior flat to semi-gloss paints. It employs mid-to-high quality performance in broad formulation space and has low VOC (volatile organic compound) capabilities. RHOPLEX™ 101C is made without APEO-containing surfactants and does not contain any intentionally added PFAS.
• OPTI-MATT™ 2300C Emulsion
  It is a premium interior architectural resin with pigment-composite technology to optimize TiO2 efficiency and has specially engineered polymer architecture. OPTI-MATT™ 2300C 100% Acrylic Emulsion is a film-forming emulsion polymer for low sheen paints and provides matte paint formulations without inorganic extender pigments. OPTI-MATT™ 2300C 100% Acrylic Emulsion is manufactured without the use of APEO surfactants and contains no intentionally added PFAS. 
• ROVACE™ 9900 Emulsion Polymer
  A solvent-free low odor vinyl acrylic binder for architectural coatings. Excellent pigment binding allows a wide range of pigment volume concentrations from flat to semigloss with outstanding properties. It delivers high scrub resistance at various PVC levels and volume solids. 

General Industrial Coatings

Dow is a leading supplier of acrylic resins for waterborne industrial coatings that can offer safer and easier handling, faster set-up and application, and lower VOC emissions. DOW resins for industrial coatings provide key performance attributes including corrosion resistance for direct-to-metal (DTM) applications, early block resistance for wood furniture, and a durable, high-gloss finish for concrete flooring.

  An acrylic copolymer emulsion that facilitates the formulation of coatings to less than or equal to 25 g/L VOC for use in light to medium duty maintenance and protective coatings applications and general industrial metal finishing applications. Coatings based on this product offer excellent UV durability, corrosion resistance, block resistance, and ease of formulation with excellent paint stability. It can be formulated into highly durable topcoats and high gloss direct-to-metal (DTM) finish coats. MAINCOTE™ 5045C is made without APEO-containing surfactants and does not contain any intentionally added PFAS.
• AVANSE™ MV-100 Emulsion
  An acrylic copolymer that can be formulated into corrosion-resistant primers, highly durable topcoats, and high gloss direct-to-metal (DTM) finish coats. The novel technology behind the AVANSE Resins product line leads to new standards in film gloss, durability, corrosion control, chemical and solvent resistance, and adhesion. The product offers the ability to formulate high performance coatings with volatile organic content (VOC) at or below 100 g/L.
• ROSHIELD™ 3188 Acrylic Emulsion
  A self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion that is designed for use in factory-applied, waterborne, interior wood coatings. It provides good early sandability, block resistance and stain resistance, as well as extremely low microfoam entrapment. This product is recommended as a sealer and topcoat in clear coatings and gives excellent clarity over both dark and light woods.
• RHOPLEX™ EP-6060 Emulsion
  An acrylic polymer that is recommended for factory-applied interior wood coatings requiring early hardness, block resistance, and sandability. It can be used in clear formulations as a sealer and topcoat or in lightly pigmented (PVC 20%) coatings. The wet and dry clarity of films based on this product is good, especially over light wood.

Specialty, Paper, Road Marking, and Sports Surface Coatings

DOW offers solutions for specialty architectural coatings that meet the challenging conditions within and around buildings that require protective and attractive coatings. Specialty solutions include stain blocking primers, wood stains, and concrete sealers. Dow waterborne acrylic solutions extend to road marking and sport surface applications with RHOPLEX™, AVANSE™ and FASTRACK™ emulsions.

  100% acrylic emulsion designed for exterior wood coatings, offering versatility across all exterior wood formulation spaces—including transparent stains, semitransparent stains, solid color stains, and deck & concrete restoration coatings. It offers excellent early rain resistance, strong adhesion to damp substrates, abrasion resistance, color retention, and an overall durable performance profile. AVANSE™ 360 contains no intentionally added APEO (alkylphenol ethoxylate) surfactants and no intentionally added PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances).
• RHOPLEX™ HG-98C 100% Acrylic Emulsion 
  An acrylic emulsion polymer designed for aqueous gloss enamels with excellent appearance and resistance properties. This product uses ambient temperature crosslinking technology to offer improved performance versus conventional polymers. It has excellent hardness development and durability for high traffic interior applications and has excellent block resistance. RHOPLEX™ HG-98C is made without APEO-containing surfactants and does not contain any intentionally added PFAS.
• RHOPLEX™ PR-409AF Acrylic Emulsion
  An aqueous, all-acrylic binder designed for premium performance in premium primer, primerless paint, and solid color stain applications. The excellent film forming characteristics of the product, combined with ambient crosslinking, provides coatings with superior performance without the use of APEO surfactants. Coatings based on the product exhibit excellent adhesion to various new and repaint surfaces, including concrete, wood, alkyd, metal, and masonry, excellent exterior crack resistance, and good efflorescence resistance/corrosion resistance.
• FASTRACK™ 5408A Emulsion
  A next generation all-acrylic resin for waterborne pavement markings, offering improved durability for year-round visibility, and extended seasonal application without compromising dry time. Paint based on this product can be applied with airless air-assisted or conventional air-spray equipment to asphalt, concrete, or existing roadmarkings that are adhering well to the pavement surface.

• RHOPLEX™ 4400 Water-Borne Binder
  A 100% acrylic latex binder designed to provide wide formulation latitude for caulks and sealants. This high solids, low Tg emulsion can be formulated without plasticizer to meet the performance requirements of ASTM C920, Class 12.5 to 35 and ASTM C-834 Grade -18C. Advantages: Wide formulation latitude with no added plasticizer, but also accepting of plasticizer addition and higher P/Bs; good adhesion and excellent exterior durability. 
• RHOPLEX™ 3805 Emulsion Polymer
  A high-performance acrylic sealant binder designed for use in a variety of caulk, sealant and adhesive applications. Due to its high pigment binding capacity and broad plasticizer compatibility, this product can be successfully formulated into products ranging from economical non-spec caulks to high-performance sealants meeting the demanding requirements of ASTM C920. Cement Modifier and Repair Mortars

RHOPLEX™ Acrylics increase bonding, abrasion resistance, and flexural strength in Portland cement mortars while improving water resistance. They can be formulated as bonding agents to increase the bond between existing concrete infrastructure and repair mortars. Key benefits include increased flexural strength, increased adhesion, and more durable surfaces.

• RHOPLEX™ CS-4000 Emulsion Polymer
  An all-acrylic, thermoplastic, water-resistant binder with excellent resistance to water blushing (water whitening). It exhibits a great balance of early block resistance and low coalescent demand. It was specially developed for use in coatings for cementitious and other non-resilient surfaces. The product can be formulated in clear as well as pigmented coatings. As with all aqueous binders, this product can be formulated to meet a variety of requirements for many different substances and application conditions.
• RHOPLEX™ MC-76 Emulsion Polymer
  This acrylic polymer is designed for sprayable cementitious compositions – like exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS) basecoats and adhesives and sprayable stucco-type coatings – and can be applied over a variety of surfaces. Applied correctly, this modifier works well on old concrete and masonry, brick, wood, metals and many other surfaces. 
• RHOPLEX™ MC-1834 P Emulsion Polymer
  A low-odor acrylic polymer emulsion designed for modifying Portland cement compositions. It also can be used as a latex bonding agent to enhance adhesion of new concrete to existing concrete. It is especially useful for applications with thin sections, excessive vibration and heavy traffic.
