Introducing renewable cellulosic ingredients
A complete range of renewable cellulosic ingredients, including WELLENCE™, METHOCEL™, and ETHOCEL™, can help you design healthier foods and improve texture, structure, and organoleptic properties. WELLENCE™ and METHOCEL™ are food-grade methylcellulose (MC) and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) polymers. METHOCEL™ is notable for its reversible thermal gelation properties, allowing it to form a gel when heated and revert to a liquid state upon cooling.
These versatile ingredients support creativity in food design. From gluten-free baked goods to plant-based meat alternatives and reduced-fat fried foods, METHOCEL™ and WELLENCE™ are considered formulation standards in the food industry.
