Sustainability

Lubricant additives from SEQENS are manufactured in an Ecovadis Platinum Certified production site that aligns with market specification requirements. They are constantly searching for solutions for customers facing EHS requirements, supply chain reliability, and ways to reduce environmental impact.

The LuSC list (Lubricant Substance Classification list) is a list of substances that have been assessed on their biodegradation, aquatic toxicity, renewability, and from an exclusion list of substances. SEQENS has developed 3 extreme pressure additives (part of the SULFAD® line) that are part of this LuSC list.

SEQENS has also launched the first overbased calcium sulfonate biodegradable grease line - KELICO V. This biodegradable, non-bioaccumulative, and non-toxic to aquatic species line makes your grease suitable for applications where EAL (Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants) are required. It's also suitable for high load and high temperature application, particularly adapted for marine applications.

Pharma Grade Methyl Salicylate by SEQENS is a highly effective topical analgesic, entering in the compositions of many balms, creams, medicated oils, ointments, or lotion formulations as it provides pain relief. It is well-known for its’ penetration properties, as well as its’ heat effect in topical application, providing the skin a cold effect followed by heat. MS Pharma can be used in mouth washes and antiseptic rinses to fight against gingivitis and plaque build-up, as well as use as a synthesis ingredient of numerous Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).

SEQENS extreme pressure additives are sulfurized molecules that provide resistance to high loads and combine good antiwear properties. The percentage of sulfur varies from 10% to 34%, active or inactive. Manufacturing with either sulfur, mercaptans or hydrogen sulfide enables formulation fine‑tuning for neat and soluble oils, greases, and industrial lubricant.

SEQENS offers amine‑based corrosion inhibitors that are proven to be effective in water‑based formulations, due to their high performances and their versatility.
