For almost 90 years, Stepan has designed and delivered more than 600 specialty and intermediate chemicals used extensively in consumer products, thermal insulation, and by the pharmaceutical, medical nutrition and dietary supplement industries. Stepan Company has developed two highactive alkoxylates, BIO-SOFT® LFS-04 and BIO-SOFT LFS-07, that can remove soil without leaving behind a residue. The BIO-SOFT LFS-Series finds utility in multi-purpose and multi-surface products – from tackling tough dirt and grime to cleaning windows and countertops.
Traditionally, alcohol ethoxylates are known to provide cleaning power to a formulation. However, they can leave behind a film or streaked appearance on the applied surface unlike alkyl polyglycosides (APG). BIO-SOFT® LFS-04 and BIO-SOFT LFS-07provide cleaning power and the low filming and streaking performance that has been missing in the market. They provide superior cleaning performance and are especially effective in low-active products like floor and glass cleaners. Some can even be used as heavy duty cleaners for heavier soil loads.

BIO-SOFT® LFS-04
BIO-SOFT® LFS-04 is a proprietary, nonionic surfactant technology from Stepan Company that is used for hard surface cleaning formulations where low/film streak performance is important such as glass , floor and multi-surface cleaners. With a very low critical micelle concentration (CMC), it is especially useful for concentrates with high dilution rates where minimal film/streaking is desired, such as glass windows and mirrors, floors and ceramic. This product can also be utilized for ready-to-use (RTU) cleaners and can often replace alkyl polyglucoside surfactants in cleaners.

BIO-SOFT® LFS-07
BIO-SOFT® LFS-07 is a high active nonionic surfactant blend that can be used in a wide variety of cleaning applications due to its degreasing power. This product is especially useful in cleaners used on surfaces where powerful cleaning combined with minimal filming/streaking is desired, such as glass windows and mirrors, floors, ceramic, and vehicle body and windows. BIO-SOFT LFS-07 can often replace alkyl polyglucoside surfactants in cleaners due to its excellent low film/streak performance. With BIO-SOFT LFS-07 is suitable for ready-to-use (RTU) and concentrated cleaners with low to mid dilution rates.
